Senator Bam Aquino defends Rave

Philippines senator Bam Aquino raised some key questions to the Bureau of Immigration, asking them why Rave were offloaded from the plane to South Korea.

Bam Aquino is the youngest senator in Philippines, he’s an avid follower of DotA 2 and is a fan of Rave, he tweeted about their journey at DAC as well. The Politician/Social Entrepreneur realises the potential of eSports as a business and has helped develop the local eSports scene as well

Recently, he got to know about Rave players getting offloaded from the plane and the Senator asked questions to the Bureau of Immigration and  Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, “They have traveled several times to South Korea using the same documents they presented in the past without any hitch. Suddenly, they were barred from leaving without any valid reason, worse, the offloading happened during a crucial time where they were scheduled to train for several big international competitions.” said Senator Aquino.

He also talks about how the government should empower athletes as well, “Government should be able to provide an environment where our athletes, online or offline, be able to hone their skills, compete in world class competitions, and give honor and pride to our country, we will continue helping them in any way we can because we believe in their potential in bringing honor to our country,” added the Senator.

Rave will be replaced by MVP Phoenix for joinDota MLG Pro League LAN Finals since they were unable to go due to VISA Issues. Yesterday they lost to an up and coming team named Underminer and are now eliminated from the SEA ESL Frankfurt 2015 qualifiers. They’ll look to bounce back today in their match against MVP Phoenix for the Red Bull Battle Grounds LAN at 11:00 CET.
