Eight teams will compete in the finals of the i-League after the qualifiers determined teams from each region. The finals will take place on September 25 after being moved to not clash with the WEC.
The last games of the regional qualifiers wrapped up on August 31, finalising the teams that will go to the LAN final of the i-League to compete for the first place prize of roughly $96,000. After seeing teams like Na'Vi.US, Titan and the newly formed all star line up of Team Tinker fall by the wayside, the final eight teams were made official.
Taking teams from different regional qualifiers the final teams to compete will be LGD.CDEC, Invictus Gaming, OldBoys, Team DK, Vici Gaming, Power Rangers, Virtus.pro and Rave.
Most notably the competition was fierce in the Chinese qualifiers as Tongu.Old Boys defeated LGD while LGD.CDEC eliminated International champions Newbee in the upper part of the bracket.
With the Chinese qualifiers finishing today all the teams are confirmed for the LAN finals. The LAN finals will be held at the Shanghai International Media Centre. Both Vici Gaming and Team DK were voted to be invitees by Chinese fans. Since Team DK does not have a roster currently, it is likely they'll be replaced by another team, such as TI4 champions Newbee.
