The longest game ever

Mousesports moves on the grand final after almost breaking the map whilst playing the longest game of competitive Dota 2 ever, labelled "armageddon".

A few things got settled tonight. First, mousesports moves on to the grand final of Corsair Gaming Summer Tournament. Second, the longest game of competitive Dota 2 history happened tonight. Third, the game itself could not handle it as the map started to rift and break, labelled by the players in-game as "armageddon".

iCCup took mouz by surprise, playing extremely co-ordinated in the first game of the day, keeping up constant pressure. In the second game they tried some kind of extreme push strategy with Brood and Lycan, it caused for an interesting game but was in the end unsuccessful. The third game was just all mouz, the latter bet the Ukrainian squad rather easily in this one and moved on to face Fnatic. A reprise of that last game was seen in the first one against Fnatic as mouz took contol very early and just carried it through. The second game featured a battle of carries - Gyro vs Lancer wheras the third game was one of the craziest games ever. For one, it was the longest game ever. Mouz played five intelligence heroes, none of them going pure right click and still won the extremely long game. But who needs right click when your opponents can do the job for you, right? Refering to the double Wall of Replica. 89 minutes into the game, strange things started happening on the map, such as flames pouring out from the ground, stranges lights appearing and a seemingly constant narrow Static Link connecting Razor to a totally pointless location. Appearantly the map cannot deal with such marathonesque games. At the end of the day, mouz took the victory. The latter will go up against Virtus.pro tomorrow at 19.00 CEST (1pm EST).
