As LOOT.BET Cup 2Â reaches its final stage, the organizers revealed that the winner will take a spot at the upcoming cs_summit 2.
LOOT.BET Cup 2 has revealed the mystery tournament that the event has teased the victor of the event will go to: CS_Summit 2, hosted by Beyond The Summit.
Beyond the Summit's first CS tournament had a $150,000 prize pool last April, in which SK Gaming took top honors. Other teams that made it to cs_summit 1 included Gambit Esports, OpTic Gaming and Cloud9. Beyond The Summit is well known for its more casual feel for their high-stakes tournaments, with their events being hosted in what appears to be a townhouse instead of the usual stadium venue where most events with this large of prize pool take place.
LOOT.BET Cup 2 has a total of twenty two invited teams and only sixteen of them have made it to the playoffs; which is being played on a best of three knockout format. The following teams have made it to this stage: GODSENT, Valiance, HellRaisers, MANS NOT HOT, Heroic, PRIDE, Sprout, AVANGAR, AGO, eXtatus, Vega Squadron, Tricked, Mousesports, Nemiga, HAVU and Spirit.
At this point some of the matches have already been played and we already know three of the quarter final matches:
- Valiance x HellRaisers
- Heroic x Sprout
- AGO x Vega Squadron
Â
The last quarter final match will be determined between the winners of the following games:
- Mousesports x Nemiga
- HAVU x Spirit
Â
The playoffs have started on the December 19 and the grand final will happen after the holidays, on December 28. From the initial six teams invited directly to the playoffs (GODSENT, Heroic, AGO, Mousesports, HellRaisers and Vega Squadron), GODSENT is the only that has been eliminated so far.
