Mousesports sign Robin "ropz" Kool in place of Timo "Spiidi" Richter, who will be stepping down due to a "lack of motivation" post-ELEAGUE.
Mouseports have announced that Robin "ropz" Kool will replace Timo "Spiidi" Richter in the active roster effective immediately in a press release on their website. Spiidi will remain with mousesports, but as a benched player while ropz takes his spot for the foreseeable future.
Spiidi cited his enthusiasm for CS:GO waning since ELEAGUE in both the press release and in a tweet:
"After the ELEAGUE major i fell into a hole motivation wise," Spiidi wrote in a Twitlonger associated with his announcement tweet. "I didn't feel as comfortable in the team as before and I decided its the best for everyone that I take a step back and get into my old form again... I will never stop playing competitive until I reached my goals, but sometimes you need to make a detour."
Spiidi promised to continue streaming and would release a stream schedule later this week.
The organisation has hailed ropz as "one of the most promising talents in CS:GO." Mousesports will be the first professional team that the Estonian rifler has signed for. He - and the rest of his new team - will be hitting the ground running today, playing Team EnVyUs in the ESP Pro League Season 5.
