Assembly Winter to host $15.000 tournament

The organizers have announced that there will be a CS: GO tournament as a part of Assembly Winter 17.

Assembly Winter will host a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament with a prize pool of $15.000 on February 3-4, in Helsinki, Finland. Sixteen teams will attend the event which will use GSL groups and a single-elimination bracket on playoffs. The teams willing to attend the tournament are required to fill an application post. Then the organizers will select sixteen teams from the applicants.

If your team would like to attend Assembly Winter 17, you can find the form here. It is announced that no travel and accomodation support will be given to the attending teams and each attending team is required to pay a participation fee of €250 upon receiving an invite.

The grand final of the tournament will be streamed live on Finnish national television. Assembly Winter is looking for community casters to cast the matches online in languages other than Finnish. If you're interested, you can apply by filling the application form.

The $15.000 prize pool will be distributed as follows:
