The Asian pre-qualifier was played out over the last two days with 256 teams playing in the open bracket. The top four teams from the open bracket were then merged with four invited teams and they rounded up the Asian pre-qualifier in the single elimination bracket.
The favourites were on point and it was looking like we might even see a Chinese final. However, Skyred a Vietnamese team, have managed to knock down TyLoo in the semi finals and crushed their dreams of an all Chinese final. In the end, Skyred was unable to contest the other Chinese teams, QeeYou, as they were defeated with a convincing 2-0.
QeeYou will now move on to the DreamHack Stockholm tournament, which will also play the role of an offline qualifier for the next major in Cluj-Napoca. QeeYou will be one of the eight teams coming from the pre-qualifiers, and those eight teams will be paired up with the 9th-16th finishers from ESL One Cologne. In the end, only eight teams will move onto the next major with the title of ''The Challengers''.
