Electronics giant HTC has announced they will hold an online CS:GO event featuring the top eight North American teams.
HTC, a Taiwan-based electronics company famous for their smartphone and tablet brand, has been getting their feet wet in the esports scene, sponsoring teams such as Cloud9 and Team Liquid. However, the company has announced today that they will hold an online CS:GO invitational, featuring the top eight North American teams and a prize pool of $10,000.
The two-day event will feature a best-of-three single elimination bracket and will begin on June 6th at 10:00 AM PDT with Team Liquid vs. Elevate. The match will be broadcasted on HTC's TwitchTV channel and hosted by FACEIT, with duo Daniel "DDK" Kapadia and James "JZFB" Bardolph shoutcasting.
