Team EnVyUs is the first invited team for PGL CS:GO Championship Series Kick-off Season

Team EnvyUs is the first team to confirm their attendance in the PGL CS:GO Championship Series (CCS) Kick-off Season which will feature a $110,000 prize pool.

Only six days ago PGL announced their premier season of the CS:GO Championship Series which will feature a total prize pool of 110,000 USD. It was revealed that the first six teams would be invited while the last two teams would need to earn thier spots through the qualifiers.

Today, CCS revealed that Team EnVyUs is the first invited team for their tournament. The French team is the winner of the last held major, DreamHack Winter 2014 and is one of the top teams in the current competitive scene which they confirmed by winning MLG X Games in Aspen which were held in January.

The online qualifiers will commence on February 23rd and will last for two weeks. The format of the tournament is set that the eight teams will be distributed into the Red and Blue group. The Red group will be played on March 17th-19th, while the Blue is scheduled for March 24th-26th. The winners of both groups will directly qualify for the LAN finals, while the remaining six teams will have one more chance through the Last Chance Tournament. The Last Chance Tournament will be held on April 8th-12th and will determinate the last two finalistis.

The schedule:
Qualifiers: February 23rd - March 8
Red Group: March 17-19
Blue Group: March 24-26
Last Chance Tournament: April 8-12
Grand Finals: April 24-26 at DreamHack Bucharest 2015.

The prize pool distribution:
Group Phase » 17,000 USD
Last Chance Tournament » 8,000 USD
Grand Finals » 75,000 USD

* The four teams qualified in the Grand Finals will also receive 2,500 USD each as travel support (for a total of 10,000 USD). All the CCS matches at DreamHack Bucharest 2015 will take place on the Main Stage.
