Qualifiers
4 qualifiers with 32 teams in each in a best-of-1 single elimination bracket. Winner of each qualifier goes through to the main division. The number of teams in each bracket may come to change, depending on interest.

Main season (league play)
8 teams play two best-of-2 games each week. Every team play each of the other teams once, making it seven bo2s for each team.

Scheduling and communication
Qualifiers
A qualifier is played from start to end during one day. Winner of each round advances to the next round. The team reports their results manually into the play.gosugamers tournament platform.
Use an IRC-channel for communication between the teams for qualifiers. The IRC-channel to be used is #gosuleague at Quakenet.
Use the teamname/tag as your IRC-name
Default wins will be handed out 30 minutes after the qualifier's start. If you don't show activity in the channel or respond to admins, your team will get dropped.
Main season (league play)
Two playdays each week, they span from Tuesday to Wednesday and Saturday to Sunday. Teams will have six times to pick from for each playday. The available starting times are:
Playday 1 - Tuesday 18:00, 20:00, 22:00
Playday 1 - Wednesday 18:00, 20:00, 22:00
Playday 2 - Saturday 16:00, 18:00, 20:00
Playday 2 - Sunday 16:00, 18:00, 20:00
Your team can deny two timeslots every playday, and the opponent can do the same. By doing that you can eliminate timeslots that works poorly according to your players’ schedules.
Let admins know the denied dates and the suggested time to play a week before the playday.
If you can not agree on a proper time, admins will decide when the game is to be played.
If you fail to show up, you will receive a default loss.
Your team will be dropped from the league if you have two default losses.
Communication will be through a Skype group as well as Steam chat. The Skype group will feature the captain (or manager) from each team. The steam chat is for all the players.
Point-system
2 points for a 2-0, 1 point for 1-1 and 0 points for 0-2.
Individual game result applies between the two tied teams (two way-tie)
In case of a thee way-tie( if it’s a circle of wins between three or more teams), tiebreakers will apply in a bo1 manner.
Prize money distribution
A total of 1500 USD will be distributed amongst the top three in the following way:
1st - 750 USD
2nd - 500 USD
3rd - 250 USD
RULESET - Before the game
Appearing in time
The game is to be hosted 15 minutes before the match start, make sure at least one player from your team is present at this time. All five players should be present at least 5 minutes prior to the game.
Appearing 15 minutes late without a reasonable explanation will cause default loss.
Your team will be dropped from the league if you have two default losses.
Server
The server to be used is Europe, unless both teams agree on a different server.
Both games in the bo2 must be played on the same server.
Game settings and spectators
The admin will host a private game and hand the password to a player of your team. “Spectators allowed” should be unchecked. During qualifiers; anyone can host.
The mode is -captains mode and games will be played using the Tournament Version.
Only spectators allowed by the admin (such as referees and casters) will be allowed. (during the league play)
No streaming is allowed except for streamers chosen by the admins. (during the league play)
Nicknames
You need to use your team tag as well as your common nick name. For instance: GGnet.Tjernobyl
Stand-ins
Up to two stand-ins are allowed. You are to report that you will use a stand-in when you schedule the game.
You may not use a stand-in that belongs to another team competing in the division.
When reporting when a game is scheduled, also notify if you intend to use stand-ins.
Choosing sides
The first team to join the game with all 5 players gets to choose first in one of these aspects:
- first pick /second pick, or
- Radiant / Dire
The other team decides the other factor.
RULESET - During the game
Behaviour
Flaming and bad-mouthing is not allowed.
Disconnects, pauses and crashes
Pausing is not allowed during picks unless the captain disconnects.
If the game crashes during the picks, the game will be remade and the same picks will be picked.
Players have rights to pause the game if needed. Be sure to announce the pause in all-chat before you pause, by saying “p” or "pause".
The reason for the pause must be reasonable. Both teams must agree on resuming before resuming the game.
After 5 minutes the game will be resumed, unless admins say otherwise. That’s 5 minutes in total per team and game, and not 5 minutes per pause.
If a player disconnects, the player’s team should pause the game right away.
Pooling: Rules about sharing items
You can buy or give following items to a teammate:
- Scroll of Teleportation
- Healing Salve
- Clarity Potion
- Tango
- Smoke of Deceit
- Dust of Appearance
- Observer Ward
- Sentry Ward
It is allowed to share passive regeneration items (such as ring of health, void stone, etc). Bottle is allowed to share as well, but you may not buy it for another player.
Admins got the final word regarding what counts as pooling and what doesn’t.
Backdoor
All kinds of backdooring is allowed.
Bugs and glitches
You are not allowed to use bugs or glitches in the game for your advantage. Each team is responsible to know about bugs that may effect the game. You can read more about bugs on the official bug forum dev.dota2.com
If one or more essential bugs are used intentionally to your advantage, your team will be disqualified from the tournament.
If a game-breaking bug occur, you should pause the game, and contact an admin.
If the bug is noticeable for both teams and no pause is made, and admins aren’t contacted until the end of the game - the game result stands.
Game end
The game is over when either team’s Ancient Fortress is destroyed or when a team forfeits and disconnects from the game.
Admin is God
Rules can be changed during the tournament if admins consider it necessary. Possible changes will of course be announced. Admins will always have the final word.
