Despite all the technical problems, SMM allowed us to watch some really good matches. We'll see what's trending and what's not, this time with a complete hero pool. Data and statistics were collected from all the available replays of the playoffs stage, both winner and loser bracket.

The Chinese powerhouse DK throws down against WE. DK has been streaking through the championships recently, leaving a burning trail of victories in their wake. WE, however, is no pushover, and have taken on a set of high-tier teams, coming away with victories. With Obsidian Destroyer, Invoker and Dark Seer fighting it out against Weaver, Puck and Windrunner, this looks like it could be a high-intensity game!

ESWC gave us a chance to witness some of the top DotA teams performing in a Dota2 tournament for the first time since The International. On that occasion, the game was brand new, and most teams were still experimenting with strategies and the limited hero pool. This time, they had more time to prepare, and thanks to that, it was an amazingly entertaining tournament. Today, we're going to talk about numbers. This feature is for all of you statistics fans: thanks to all the information we were able to gather from ESWC, we can bring you a full statistical analysis of that weekend. So brace yourself and enjoy the following paragraphs full of juicy information!

.exe and uE are fighting to decide who'll join MUFC at the ROCCAT GosuCup #4 Grand Finals. And both teams are a treat to watch because they're always surprising us with uncommon picks like Pandaren Brewmaster and Lifestealer. While .exe won their games against NFO showing a crushing mid-game, uE played two solid 4-1 games, allowing their carry to get strong in time to win the game. However, because both teams usually plays uncommon heroes, it's hard to predict what kind of game we'll have.

Malaysia and Germany are now set against each other as the pressure rises. On the one side we have PANZER, a selection of German players known for their gutsy, crazy play and solid mid-game domination. PANZER have been on the rise recently, performing extremely well at ICS and proving very solid when under pressure. Pitted against them is one of the higher-tier Malaysian teams, MUFC, who competed at The International recently. Both teams have won the last two games played: this round is sure to be a scorcher!

The winner of group G faces the winner of group H. This sets up a double Malaysian clash, with MUFC squaring off against Orange. Both teams have a penchant for centering their games around heavy mid-game and late-game carries. While there may be less early pushing and ganking from this match-up, we can definitely expect some fantastic teamfights and epic battles as carries such as Spectre, Obsidian Destroyer, Morphling and N'aix tear each other up. With titles such as the 2010 ESWC Malaysia tournament, as well as multiple awards and accolades in the Asiatic leagues, MUFC is looking strong. Orange, however, will definitely be no pushover: with well known, skilled players such as Mushi-, as well as a set of other strong players with recent titles to their name. This will no doubt be an interesting game.

Pre Game Analysis: EZ vs. UE

The winner of group E faces the winner of group F, setting up a dispute for dominance between the north and the south. From the north, eZ style is showing the same successful team-work showed by Team USA, building their game around powerful team-fights; from the south, uE is unbeatable until now. Both teams show really emphasis on the late-game, allowing us to expect really intense battles between carriers. The winner of this match-up will advance to the semi-finals and continue to represent America in the tournament.

The winner of group A faces the winner of group B. This pits the German team .exe against the French team Virus. Both teams are seen to focus on the mid game, playing large arrays of mid-game carries such as Broodmother, Invoker, Weaver, Puck, Queen of Pain, Beastmaster and Windrunner. This means that we should really be in for a heated mid-game clash, with plenty of early-game aggression and some power-struggles on the side. While Virus is more established than .exe, even going so far as to compete in The International for Dota 2, .exe will definitely not go down without a fight.

A great aspect in this upcoming battle is a lack of reliance on farm. Since both teams have their farm distribution fairly well organised, we can expect a lot more high-pitched battles and edge-of-your-seat maneuvers than usual. With these two European teams raring to go, this looks like a match not to miss!

The winner of group C faces the winner of group D. The remnants of the former and legendary MYM, are now playing under the name "Creamy Center" and are using individual mystery nicknames. But there's no mystery when it comes to their game. Showing a strong performance, they beat the Russians in FiveStars to reach the quarter-finals.
On the other side of the river, the Germans in PANZER, who performed really well at ICS, faced Emocore in the 1/8 finals, winning by a close 2-1, showing a lot of resilience. Both teams have been showing impressive play recently and it'll be interesting to see how they will face up with each other.
