Capcom has released a gameplay trailer for Rashid, who joins Street Fighter 6’s roster on July 24.

Capcom’s first DLC fighter for Street Fighter 6 is Rashid, a returning character from the series who employs high-speed combat and parkour acrobatics to leave his opponents in the dust. Rashid will be available to play on July 24, later this month.

Watch Rashid’s gameplay trailer below:

Rashid of the Turbulent Wind will debut not only in Street Fighter 6’s PvP Fighting Ground mode on July 24, but the singleplayer World Tour mode as well. The peppy content creator returns for this sequel with a new mission of finding the world’s strongest warriors and putting them in front of his camera. He’s a vlogger travelling around the world trying to capture the spirit of strength on video - which probably just means that he's going around recording random fights.

Rashid can be found in World Tour, and you can seek him out to either learn his moves or deepen your bond with him through gifts and story missions. Maxing out your relationship with Rashid will give you a character skin, and you can pick up Rashid’s moves with your custom-made avatar to use in the Battle Hub.

Rashid’s moveset hasn’t changed much from Street Fighter 5, with a focus on moving around the stage quickly with wind-based combat abilities. He has more acrobatic combos this time around, such as Arabian Cyclone, which allows him to perform a spinning kick that conjures a small whirlwind. These abilities can be rolled into larger combos. He also has a new double jump move called Arabian Skyhigh, along with other mobility-based abilities that let him get around a lot quicker than some of the game's other fighters.

To get Rashid, you’ll have to fork up for Street Fighter 6’s Year 1 Character Pass, which includes upcoming fighters Ed, Akuma and A.K.I.. Rashid’s DLC will drop on July 24, 2023.
