AMD & BAFTA partner up for eSports title of the year

BAFTA and AMD open up eSports award to public voting. You can cast your vote until the 30th of March.

BAFTA, in partnership with AMD, has announced the nominees for the AMD eSports audience award. The 6 nominees are

  • Clash Royale
  • CS:GO
  • DOTA 2
  • League of Legends
  • Overwatch
  • Street Fighter V

You can vote starting today until the 30th of March. Make sure to vote for your favourite eSports game before then, so you can award the developer and see it announced as the winner at the British Academy Games Award on April 6th. This is the only publicly voted-on category so make sure your voice is heard. Voting can be done here and even gives you a chance to win a prize.

The nominees were selected by a panel of 10 gaming experts and the only criteria for the game was that it had to be released, or updated, in the past year. Of all the games on the list only Clash Royale, Street Fighter, and Overwatch were released within the past year; and all of those were early 2016. No game past May made it onto the list.

Last year's winner was Smite, but it did not make it onto the list of nominees this year.
