ToD leaves ROOT

Only 3 months after the Frenchman found his way into the team it was decided that parting ways would be the best option at this point. The decisive factor was ToD's lack of a work visa.

The former WarCraft 3 player's stint in America comes to an abrupt end as the failure to extend his visa forces him to return to France and thus find a new employer, as ROOT's focus lies on American tournaments, whereas Yoan 'ToD' Merlo plans to spend more time at European events. Both sides emphasize that the departure took place in good spirit, as can be read in the following statement:

It's been a pleasure playing for ROOT. I've played with the team for around 3 months, but due to lack of a visa i'm returning to France where ROOT cannot support me as much. I still want to attend EU tournaments but ROOT is mainly focused on US market, so we mutually decided to go our on ways, on good terms of course. My time in ROOT has probably been my happiest playing SC2, and I wish them all the best of luck. Special thanks to CatZ and ROOT for giving me a great team while I was in the US. I'll continue to be friends and "hang out" with them online and on skype so to speak. I look forward to meeting them again at the tournaments in the future.
-ToD

ToD's appearances on 'State of the Game' as well as North American events such as IPL and MLG have given him exposure lately and anyone interested in contracting him is urged to contact him via Twitter.

UPDATE: Replacing ToD is former Quantic player Moon "DdoRo" Jung Ho. The Korean-Canadian was teamless after Quantic bit the dust just last week.
