MYM terminates the contract with its StarCraft 2 team manager suNNy with immediate effect. Reason is the alleged offer to CellaWerra and other Korean players.
According to the German website fragster, MYM's StarCraft 2 team manager suNNy sent CellaWerra - who is known among the scene for his SC2 stream - an offer which suggested a membership for 500 Euros a month. Moreover, CellaWerra would receive gaming support from Razer and clothings from Puma.
The said offer became public, when suNNy approached CellaWerra during a streaming session of his. According to the source it is very likely that the team manager asked the Koreans Tester, Maka and Cool as well.
MYM's management denies the figures and proposals, rather they says that suNNy was supposed to make a contact with CellaWerra and enquire his market value. As Sascha Ackermann, management assistant, puts it:
"We are shocked by this action from our former team manager and we disassociate ourself from this solo attempt. We are surprised by the published terms of the supposed „offer“ since we never spoke about any of this points and some of them are just far from reality. We are sorry for the confusion and we will take personal consequences."
The only way MYM sees to distance oneself from suNNy's actions is to release him from duty. Asking the MYM management whether we might see CellaWerra in MYM in the near future, they says:"We'll see. Perhaps, I'll contact him tomorrow and everyone may follow it on livestream. So stay tuned." Adding that they actually do not plan to sign on with another Korean, as they focus on the European market.
