T1, NRG, KT Rolster, and Bilibili Gaming go through to the advancement series of the Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage.

It was a day of delight for LCK and LPL fans as the likes of T1, KT Rolster, and Bilibili Gaming have gone through the next round of the Worlds 2023  Swiss Stage. This also included NRG, the only representative from the LCS to make it this far.

However, Cloud9 failed to make it through after falling to T1 while LEC fans won't be happy as both Fnatic and MAD Lions fell to BLG and NRG respectively. Weibo Gaming also fell at the hands of KT, which will slightly disappoint LPL fans. Tomorrow will feature two elimination series as the likes of Dplus KIA, Team BDS, GAM Esports, and Team Liquid will have to fight for their tournament lives.

T1vsCloud9

In what could be described as the perfect game of League of Legends, T1 turned up in front of a stellar home crowd to defeat Cloud9 flawlessly. The three-time world champions broke the record for fastest match at Worlds 2023, which was held by Gen.G and GAM Esports. T1 would also go one further to defeat C9 and left them with zero kills the entire game. If someone like Sang-hyeok "Faker" Lee could walk away with zero kills and five assists on Sylas to help his team dominate, you know it's something special.

And it was a game for Moon "Oner" Hyeon-joon to dominate with Jarvan IV, who had seven kills and eight assists, which also meant that he was directly involved in every kill T1 had over C9. It was also a perfect game from Ryu "Keria" Min-seok with Bard who had a sole kill but also a team-high 11 assists. Choi "Zeus" Woo-je also showed great experience with Rumble as he secured three kills to go with seven assists.

NRG EsportsvsMAD Lions

The classic 'NA vs EU' match-up was on full display in the KBS Stadium of South Korea with NRG Esports and MAD Lions. And it was an insanely close match from both teams as NRG dominated for large portions while MAD was able to come back on more than one occasion. But ultimately, it was the LCS who came out on top over the LEC despite MAD's late resurgence that came with a Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság triple kill on Nilah.

It wasn't a clean game from either team and ultimately, it required some quick thinking from NRG to get the job done with a split-push effort for the elder drake as well as MAD's structures. This allowed Cristian "Palafox" Palafox's Sylas to TP straight to MAD's base to take down its remaining two turrets and eventually, the Nexus. Victor "FBI" Huang also deserves special mention for keeping NRG in the fight with his Kai'Sa as he chipped in with 12 kills, six assists, and only four deaths.

Bilibili GamingvsFnatic

LEC fans had to witness not just MAD Lions lose, but also Fnatic soon after as they faced up against the LPL's second seed, Bilibili Gaming. And it was BLG who looked the more rejuvenated as they blew past Fnatic in a little over 30 minutes. While it was Fnatic who started the game on the front foot, BLG eventually took control with the likes of Zhao "Elk" Jia-Hao putting them team on his back with Tristana as he came up with six kills, one death, and seven assists.

But it was Chen "bin" Ze-Bin on Jax that proved to be the difference with a clinical triple kill to carry BLG over the line. Bin has been one of BLG's most consistent players and the team will look to him to inspire them to another international grand final this season.

KT RolstervsWeibo Gaming

The last match of the day was another classic, this time between the LCK and LPL as KT Rolster sent Weibo Gaming down to the '1-2' bracket of the fourth round. And unfortunately for KT, all the teams they have faced up to this point have exclusively come from the east with two LPL teams and one from the LCK. But despite all that, KT still turned in an impressive victory with plenty of the plaudits going to Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram for his exceptional Kai'Sa performance that had 12 kills, three deaths, and and seven assists.

Three of the five KT players also had a great showing in their match against WBG as the likes of Kim "Kiin" Gi-in, Lee "Cuzz" Woo-jin, and Siwoo "Lehends" Son chipped in with double-digit assists. Even Bo-Seong "bdd" Kwak got in on the action with nine assists and four kills on a very niche Neeko pick for the middle lane.

All eight teams won't know their next opponent until tomorrow's live draw, which will take place after the elimination series. Expect a full house of local fans who will be there to cheer on the likes of Worlds 2020 champions, Dplus KIA against Team BDS. The first and earlier series of the day will be between Team Liquid and GAM Esports.
