Three weeks in, Alliance still looks to not be faltering, a direct opposite of the early spring season for results.
The first game of the day was Alliance vs. ROCCAT with Froggen finally pulling out his trademark Anivia pick after several months in the shadows. ROCCAT started off on a strong foot by grabbing the first blood, but Alliance's experience and strategical game showed better results by taking the initial towers.
When the teams clashed, ROCCAT took the early advantage due to the scaling of the Alliance team composition, but reaching back to their former roots, the team stalled out until they were strong and took a very convincing and reminiscent victory for the fans.
Millenium vs. SK Gaming started off slow and relatively even, but SK Gaming's eye for mistakes and capitalization on them resulted in an immediate advantage once contesting objectives came into play. SK Gaming were able to snowball their first blood into map domination.
Though Millenium put up a fight in terms of tower kill counts, SK Gaming's warding and map control were superior and prevented Millenium from making any unpredictable map movements. SK Gaming were able to take the game and remain in 2nd.
The results of Fnatic vs. Supa Hot Crew shocked many. Fnatic looked as though the game's pacing was going in their favor, but Supa Hot Crew were able to create a comeback. Both teams stayed even as Fnatic closed the gap, but Supa Hot Crew's sieging was relentless.
After back and forth fighting, Supa Hot Crew applied more pressure, and as a result, were able to take the game off Fnatic and tie them for 2nd place.
The final game featuring Copenhagen Wolves vs. Gambit Gaming would show niQ becoming a bit more comfortable in his now permanent spot in filling Alex Ich's shoes, but Genja took the spotlight by building normal items and becoming an extremely fed and monstrous Lucian.
Gambit Gaming started with first blood after a relatively slow fight, but weren't able to immediately capitalize. For most of the game, Copenhagen Wolves found themselves in a comfortable lead, but once Genja started landing the killing blows and grabbed his Guardian Angel, there weren't many answers in Copenhagen Wolves' arsenal and they dropped to Gambit, allowing the latter to tie with Millenium in the standings.
