LMQ get dominated by an extremely strong looking team Dignitas, and Cloud 9 have a very controlled game against Curse where they seemingly easily win, and look to be returning to the Cloud 9 of old. CLG win the El Classico vs TSM and EG look strong against a Complexity with a substitute midlaner.
The week started off with a classic matchup between Team Solo Mid and Counter logic gaming! The game started with standard lane matchups. After invading and stealing red buff CLG's Dexter sets up for a dive onto TSM's Dyrus in the top lane. However, Dyrus plays the dive well weaving back and forth trading his life to take out both Dexter and Seraph. After trading some objectives with the advantage going into CLG's favor quickly a teamfight starts in Mid-lane where Aphromoo's Alistar engages onto 3 with Orianna's ball leading to a grat three man Orianna ult.
This combo wins CLG the fight and earns them the Inhibitor turret and the inhibitor. TSM makes a call to push mid lane, but CLG counters the call by pushing top lane tier 2 turret and picking off TSM Gleeb at the innhibitor turret. This wins CLG the inhibitor turret and eventually the inhibitor. After a short baron bait CLG Doublelift gets a solo-kill onto TSM's Bjergsen. CLG uses their man advantage to push the nexus down and win the game.
The second game of the day was between two teams struggling after superweek in Complexity and Evil Geniuses! The game started with the teams having 2v1 lanes with toplaners roaming through the jungle with the junglers. After both teams play the lanes well, right when the second buffs spawn EG's Snoopeh smite steals the Blue buff from Complexity preventing Mancloud from getting any advantage.
Shortly after the blue buff steal EG sets up a three man dive in top lane, where the instantly kill Brokenshard and then turn on and kill westrice and Mancloud trading a 3 for 1.The game snowballed from there and EG took every advantage getting astronomical gold lead after taking 3 of 4 dragons 2 of 2 barons, and EG use the advantages they have to slowly take down Complexity and win the game to go 1-4 in the LCS so far.
The 4-0 LMQ went up against the 3-1 Dignitas in the third game of the day. The game started and Dignitas set up a delayed invade onto LMQ's red buff and instantly killed LMQ's NoName for first blood and took the red buff. The game went straight into Dignitas's favor from their taking every single advantage they could. Zionspartan getting a solo kills onto Ackerman in the toplane, Crumbz ganking midlane to get kills for Shiphtur in midlane.
Dig not only won by overpowering LMQ, they also had a much stronger objective control taking all the dragons of the game and the only baron, as well as all eleven turrets. This game showed LMQ's weaknesses, however it wasnt all bad for LMQ they had brave calls to try to get back into the game, but the defeciet Dignitas had put onto them prevented their calls from showing through. Dignitas takes the game in a smashing game against LMQ to go 4-1 and take the lead of LCS.
The final game of Week 2 Day 1 was between Cloud 9 and Curse gaming! The game gets underway and Cloud 9 starts a dragon 3 minutes in, but Curse has vision and tried to contest, Cloud 9 peel away but lemonnation dies giving up first blood. However, Cloud 9 saw this as a chance to re-engage and turn onto Curse and take out 3 members in quick succession. Afterwards, Cloud 9 took complete control of the game securing every buff, and having great ward control to prevent IWillDominate's evelyn from flanking.
Cloud 9 Takes baron, but Cops jinx ult kills Hai. With the baron buff Cloud 9 split their push with three members toplane and two bot lane. Cloud 9 dived at the inhibitor in botlane with Hai and Balls to get a kill on Quas and take th inhibitor, at the same time in toplane Meteos, Sneaky, and Lemonnation dive through inhibitor turret and kill Cop. C9 uses the advantages they achieved throughout the game to push heavily onto Curse and end the game. Cloud 9 win and look to be returning to form.
