In an announcement on their Facebook page, the Copenhagen Wolves have revealed their EU LCS Summer Split roster which replaces both marksman player Konstantinos “Forg1ven” Tzortziou and jungler Maurice “Amazing” Stuckenschneider with new talent.
Taking Forg1ven’s place is Polish player Pawel “Woolite” Pruski, who gained notoriety as a member of Denial EU and who was heavily rumored to be the new marksman player. Denial had an impressive run through the Challenger Series before failing to qualify for the LCS, losing 3-1 at the hands of the Copenhagen Wolves. Woolite has become known for his strong mechanical play especially on Lucian and Twitch, but he bears a heavy burden considering the central role Forg1ven played for the Wolves.
The new jungle role will be filled by challenger level player Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia, most recently of Heavy Botlane and Salade Tomate Oignion, two high level Challenger squads. He replaces Amazing, who was transferred to TSM following TheOddOne’s retirement. Much like Woolite, Airwaks comes to the Wolves with massive shoes to fill given Amazing’s two time MVP performance in the last LCS split.
Of the changes, Wolves manager Thomas Kunzel said:
“As the League of Legends Manager, I am very happy with the addition of Woolite and Airwaks to our team. They are both individually strong players. However, of course it will be their first time in theLCS but I’m sure they will show why we picked them.”
