EU LCS Week 6: Stats 'n' Fun Facts

181-1389636276.jpeg

This week, Fnatic completed their round of losses, going from a team that defeated every team to a team that lost to every team in the EU LCS.  In addition, SK Gaming continued their rise, and though Gambit Gaming fielded a roster of four subs to complement Edward, they still managed to break even this week.

KDA & Farm Awards

The kill gap between Fnatic and other teams is finally closing due to their continuing poor performances.  After holding the title of most kills for the past three weeks, xPeke has been overtaken by, not only his teammate, Rekkles, but Millenium's Creaton at 67.  This development is interesting, to say the least, given that Millenium is sitting at the back of the pack in W/L record.  It goes to show that the correlation between kills and victory is nowhere near absolute.

Speaking of which, with the exception of Forg1ven, Fnatic's players still hold the most assists per role.  At the top, YellOwStaR still sits at a comfortable 125 assists, daring anyone to come close.  The battle between Svenskeren and Migxa over the most deaths has also crowned a new victor, as the support player achieved four more deaths than the jungler this week at 55.  Despite their high death tolls, it's hard to argue with either player's game impact record.

Finally, after breaking the record for most cs in an LCS game this week, it's unsurprising to see Forg1ven capture the title of most cs on average with a score of 373.4.

This week, most players held the top spot in the KDA by role from last week.  Kev1n remains strong in the top lane, with a rising KDA of 5.8.  Jankos is nothing if not consistent in his play, all the way down to the numbers, and he retains the same KDA from last week at 5.2.  Even after seven straight losses, Rekkles refuses to give up on, not only the highest KDA in the AD carry role, but also the highest KDA in the European LCS at 6.1.  Finally, Vander's KDA dipped a little as a result of ROCCAT's loss this week, but he still remains ahead of other supports at 5.4.

The one change this week came as a result of Nukeduck's brief appearance subbing in for Alex Ich and Gambit Gaming.  With a KDA of 5, he overtook ROCCAT's Overpow who remains ahead of all starting mid laners with a KDA of 4.1, which is telling of the relatively low KDAS of players in the role.  This could be a symptom of mid lane focus in jungle ganks or a result of mids in Europe playing a more utility-based role, setting up fights and dying once their cooldowns are burned.

Team KDA

Despite losing a game this week, ROCCAT now leads Fnatic in KDA by almost an entire point at 4.83 to 3.84.  Most other team KDA ratios appear to be converging around three kills and assists per death.

As expected, Fnatic still retains the most kills and assists at 201 and 468.  This week, also, The Copenhagen Wolves are the first to reach 200 deaths as a team.

Most Contested & Win Rates

The top four contested picks remained consistent at Kassdin, EliseAnnie, and Thresh, but the rest of the top ten saw some shuffling.  LucianKayleLee Sin, and Caitlyn all overtook Vi in popularity.  Meanwhile, Renekton bumped Gragas down a peg, as he was picked and banned every game this week, receiving his first four bans of the EU LCS.

Vayne joined the list of most contested picks, largely due to CandyPanda's success.  Leona's popularity rises with seven picks this week.  In addition, Lulu has become the only champion picked ten or more times without receiving a ban now that Renekton has received four.

As the sixth week has closed out, we've also added champion win rates for champions picked at least five times to our report.  Morgana sits at the top of the list with an 88% win rate as Vander, Migxa, and now, Nyph continue to play her in the bottom lane to great effect.  At the other end of the list, sOAZ and Kev1n have nearly single-handedly torpedoed Shen's success rate to a measly 29%, though we're sure that his brief stint in the jungle with Diamondprox didn't help matters.

FUN FACTS

  • EU has three champions that have yet to die and hold an infinite KDA ratio: Varus, Draven, and Mordekaiser. Varus also holds one ban.
  • Irelia's debut KDA was 14, putting her on a list of only three champions that have died, yet retain a KDA of more than seven, Kassadin and Warwick being the other two at 15.5 and 15.3.
  • Morgana support has now been played by three teams in seven different games and has yet to lose a game.  The only loss the champion received was when she was played in the mid lane by Moopz.
  • Kassadin has received 16% of the bans in the EU LCS.
  • Lucian and Thresh are tied for most picked at 35 times, and both have a 51% win rate.
  • SK Gaming and Alliance have banned the largest number of distinct champions each at 25.
