Bring your solo que team work to the next level with new ability cool down announcements

Along with more observer slots, Blizzard is unrolling new features in the upcoming Xul patch, including the vital ability to inform your allies of your ability cooldowns on the fly.

In the latest Blizzard blog post, we learned about new features coming to the latest patch. Observer slots are nice, but they don't help us win games. What is most exciting, is the new ability to announce your ability cool downs with an ALT+CLICK system:

 To help players communicate vital info quickly, our next patch will introduce a system that notifies your teammates of availability, cooldowns, mana restrictions, charge counts, and other useful ability and talent info using a simple Alt+Click system. On your way to a team-fight and your Heroic Ability just came off cooldown? Alt+Click the ability icon and a message will pop up in chat letting your team know the ability is ready, and it’s a great time to engage!”

As any Heroes player knows, the cooldown on crucial Heroics and other abilities can define a team fight. These team fights in turn determine who wins and who loses. With this functionality, players can communicate their readiness to engage the ability quickly and easily. This is a standard feature in most other MOBA games, and it's good to see it being added to Heroes of the Storm.

In this example, the functionality tells how many charges are left on a particular ability. Useful for heroes like Kharazim who can tell a team when he has 0 charges left of Radiant Dash and needs help escaping. The same situation is possible with Brightwin as well.
