No doubt that Competitive DotA is still on top in the category of Philippine eSports. The recently held Mineski Pro-Gaming League: 3-1 showed very good feedback and results. Registration was very hyped -- the morning bracket was filled with 40 teams who were all willing to take the risk of being placed in the same brackets with the top teams while in the afternoon bracket, 49 teams joined with outstanding spirit and excitement to meet their matches. What surprised the viewers most are the new teams who unexpectedly stood out in their respective groups.
The second day came with the only 34 teams left to defend their pride. Mineski Infinity was opened in the afternoon to give chance to viewers to see their favorite teams play. MineskiTV was up as well with crowd-favorite local shoutcasters, Marlon 'lon' Marcelo and Irymarc 'TryQ' Gutierrez for those who prefered to watch the action at home.
To round it all up, it was a successfull LAN tournament brought to local gamers by the most prestigious gaming organization in the Philippines, Mineski International. Watch out for MPGL:3-2 this February!

Mineski.net talked with captains from different teams regarding their experience in MPGL 3-1. All of them were asked this question:
”How would you define your team's performance and experience on the recently held Mineski Pro-Gaming League?”
James Kenneth 'Wootz' Valdez from Happyfeet.
-"Well actually I was not really satisfied with our performance. I did not expect that we would win Mineski-Pro Gaming League this month. We did not have any practice since our show match against Execration. I think we still need to improve our teamplay and learn to play seriously at all times, hahaha."

Richard 'chad' Minowa from Minerva.
-"I think we've outdone ourselves performance-wise. I am quite proud of what my team showed during the games, considering that we have just been playing together for a short time. Minerva's first MPGL was definitely a great start and experience for us. We learned a lot from it and it would surely benefit us in future competitions."

Crisostomo 'Chibiby!' Tan, Jr. from Latos!.
-"I could say that we had a very poor performance. Not by making an excuse, but we didn't had time to practice the latest version. Mineski Pro-Gaming League : 3-1 experience was still great and we have learned a lot."

-"As i said, we are not expecting to win the recently held Mineski Pro-Gaming League. But were happy because we know that the competetive scene here in the Philippines is growing. After our loss last Sunday, we are now much motivated to regain our composure, see you next MPGL Happyfeet."

Hiroshi 'yoshi' Yoshimoto from Dreamz DotA.
-"For the performance of our team, It was great to find out that we have improved in terms of game tactics and as well as wardings in the game. We have met our game expectation but unluckily, our team was defeated by team Minerva and 2011. All our dreams and expectations was ruined at that time. For the reason that we did our best but still we did not get the results we wanted. But surely this experience inspired us to bring dedication and perseverance to win our games for the next upcoming Mineski Pro-Gaming League. We are still proud that our team put quite a show even if it is our first time."

-"I believe that we need some time to adjust in regards to our team play. It's really not that bad that we made it to 6th place."

Jin Joo 'Jin' Kang from Republic of Gamers.
-"For me team's performance on the recently held tournament is not a good start for us. I think we lost our chemistry and team play as compared to our performance last year. This time we didn't played as a team on MPGL, we just played individually. That's the biggest mistake we have done, that is also the reason why we failed to reach top 8. But ofcourse as the team captain I wont let it happen again on the next season this February. I Hope that our chemistry and team play will come back. I think its much better if we can surpass what we had last year. Good Luck team RoG!"
