Gankers are the aggressors of a team. It's their role to make life as difficult as possible for their opponents. These players usually have impeccable timing and execution, with the ability to dive very deep into opponent's territory to get a kill and emerge alive. Ganking also becomes an art when it comes to heroes such as Magmus and Behemoth, where a good stun can easily become god tier with some good aim and positioning.
With the addition of new heroes like Moraxus, Chipper, Myrmidon, Bombardier and new items like Striders and Blood Chalice, the metagame has shifted very heavily towards ganking. Heroes such as Pebbles and Tundra have often been favoured for the mid role rather than the traditional ranged carry farmer. Without further ado, here are your nominees.
Nominees for Beat Ganker 2010:
[MSI] Johan "N0tail" Sundstein
Specialty:
At the young age of 17, N0tail has established himself has one of the best mid players in HoN at the moment. His ability to consistently win his lane, rune control while ganking the entire map left right and centre is astounding. Even his Soulstealer, the hero he specializes in that's closest to a non-ganker is played with a very aggressive twist, often buying back at non-crucial moments just to get back for a kill or simply because he can.
N0tail's addition to Fnatic was a vital one. With EG's star player chu being the only one who has proven himself consistently as a competition in mid, N0tail is certainly a huge asset to the team.

[MSI] Henrik "Freshpro" Hansen
Specialty:
Coming on the scene as FreshFriFly, he 1st made his mark as a carry player for a Button Bashers side that featured players like budgi, kay` and Loda. He eventually made the transition to gankers when he came to MSI. Often being the player assigned to solo against an opposing trilane, Fresh is well known for making quick recovery from his EXP and gold disadvantage from the laning phase by participating actively in ganks.
His signature hero Pharoah is truly fun to watch, sometimes even getting Codex in competitive games and is known for his comedic antics in games. His ability to play extremely passive and still recover mid game is a great asset to a team like Fnatic given how fond they are of running trilanes.

[EG] Josh "bkid" Choi
Specialty:
From the days of We Heart Pigs, before they had the likes of FujiApples, the hero Magmus or Behemoth was always auto assigned to bkid. His use of their stuns at times are spectacular to watch especially after he gets his Portal Key. While he stepped up as the team's carry player when chu was inactive, his true stellar performances have come from ganking.
His Devourer in particular was very strong at one time when his ultimate just got buffed, carrying games easily with good hooks. The rare instances when he's not going around the map setting up kills is when he's put on Swiftblade, which EG has a tendency to run whenever they're in dire need of a win.

[EG] Brendan "se`busca" Taveirne
Specialty:
Formerly from team 5, se`busca used to also go by the names "k`t" and "Loop3d". His time at 5 was particularly remembered for his Ophelia, but other than that he's mostly played a semi carry role as Testie's back up.
After joining EG his play style has definitely gotten a lot more aggressive and has gelled well with his former rivals. Aside from his trilane Gladiator he's well known for being all across the map setting up kills with his mates.

[ze] Rene "Kebap" Werner
Specialty:
Original leader of KD Gaming, Kebap has always been one of Europe's most established gankers. His expertise in setting up kills was unrivalled, as shown by his performance at DreamHack. Along with Mag1X he could be seen going around causing so much chaos that carry players LevenT and Overpow could find space to farm despite being 4v5 in the semifinal.
His Behemoth play was up to the level where teams are just banning Behemoth when going up against him and his absence is definitely being felt in the current Online Kingdom.
