Patch notes for the big Palworld x Terraria update are out, so here’s what’s new.
Palworld’s long-awaited Terraria crossover update, entitled Tides of Terraria, is officially out in the wild. Developer Pocketpair has released a pretty hefty list of patch notes for the update, which not only includes creatures and items from the world of Terraria, but several new additions to Palworld’s own gameplay loop too.
A new trailer has also been released for the update, confirming that players can actually tame Terraria’s Eye of Cthulhu boss:
Palworld's Tides of Terraria crossover content
Palworld’s latest major update has finally launched, adding a fleet of crossover content from the world of Terraria. However, players will have to dive into a specifically Terraria-themed dungeon to find this content–it won’t be available in the game’s usual environments. In the new Terraria dungeon, players can find materials to craft equipment from Terraria, including six new weapons and seven new armour pieces.
Judging by the update’s trailer, players will also be able to take on the Eye of Cthulhu, an early game Terraria boss. They’ll also be able to tame the Eye of Cthulhu, and perhaps bring it along for the update’s big new raid boss: the Moon Lord from Terraria. The Moon Lord is Terraria’s final boss, typically posing a significant endgame challenge for most players, so don’t expect the monster to go down easily.
Other big changes included in Palworld’s latest update
If you’re not a fan of Terraria, don’t worry–there’s plenty more content to chew on in this update. Players are now able to craft fishing rods and bait to catch new underwater-dwelling Pals, and even ride on them to salvage supplies from the sea. Three new islands have also been added to the game, featuring all-new Pals.
Pals will also now have their stats increased depending on how much time they’ve spent with the player. To that end, players can also now go to sleep with their Pals. Several enemy factions will now build bases much like the player, which can now be raided for new building blueprints. Several new buildings, weapons, and more items have also been added in this update, along with various balance changes.
This is just a small slice of what’s available in Palworld’s new update, but you can check the full patch notes here.
