The game is reportedly currently making at least $6.5 million daily.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is showing no signs of slowing down, reportedly generating more than US $200 million in revenue in its first month, surpassing other Pokémon mobile games like Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon Unite.
This also places Pokémon TCG Pocket as third place among Pokémon Mobile Games, next to Pokémon Master EX and the most lucrative mobile game to date, Pokémon Go.
This was first reported by Pocketgamer.biz, citing figures from Mobile app analytics platform AppMagic.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is a game that simulates opening TCG Booster packs to “enjoy Pokémon cards anytime, anywhere, on your mobile device," according to The Pokémon Company. Players can open virtual booster packs, build decks, and engage in exciting battles using simple navigation features.
The mobile sensation took off with US $12 million in just four days, reporting $3 million in revenue daily. The game’s daily revenue only continued to increase, allowing it to hit an overall revenue of $100 million in just 17 days.
These figures doubled less than two weeks later on 29 November. According to AppMagic’s reports, players are currently spending an estimate of $6.5 million a day.
So far, the game’s release date on 30 October had the lowest level of player spending at $ 2.7 million, while its single best day was on 22 November during the “Mass Outbreak” event, with $ 8.4 million. Ironically, IGN reported that many players found this event to be underwhelming.
Fire-type decks are currently the most favourable, however, since the game emulates the experience of opening booster packs, completing the most powerful cards in the dex is no easy feat, with players mostly relying on luck.
However, by offering cards that significantly improved the accessibility of Fire-type decks, player interest in spending spiked, leading to a 20% increase in daily revenue at the vent’s onset, with players wanting to get their hands on Kanto favourites like Ninetales and Rapidash.
Currently, 42% percent of players and big spenders come from Japan, while 27% are from the United States. Other notable big spending countries include South Kroea, Taiwan, and HongKong.

The game is set to release new booster packs toward the end of the yearv and will have the card trading feature by 2025, allowing a selection of “certain cards” to be traded, with plans to expand the tradable cards pool over time.
With more features, in-game events, and cards to collect, the game looks like it’s set to continue on an upward trajectory for the coming months.
