A game studio made up of former CD Projekt RED developers has revealed its first game.
Rebel Wolves, a game studio co-founded by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, has unveiled its first game: a fantasy action-RPG called Dawnwalker. The studio has entered an agreement with Bandai Namco Entertainment to publish the game, which will be the first part of an upcoming series.
Bandai Namco to publish Dawnwalker
Rebel Wolves, a game studio founded in 2022 and made up of ex-CD Projekt RED developers, has unveiled its upcoming debut game: a dark fantasy action-RPG called Dawnwalker set in medieval Europe, which is also set to be the first instalment of “the Daywalker saga,” according to a news release. The game is said to be aimed at mature audiences and is being developed in Unreal Engine 5.
Rebel Wolves has also signed an agreement with Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, for the latter to take on publishing duties for both the retail and digital distribution of Dawnwalker worldwide. The game, which is described as “a dark fantasy narrative sandbox, AAA action-RPG set in medieval Europe,” will launch on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Rebel Wolves was co-founded by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director of The Witcher 3 and co-director of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022. The company revealed earlier this year that it was working on a game called Dawnwalker, along with an image (seen above) of a long-clawed humanoid figure brandishing a sword against a stark red background. According to this week’s news release, the game is set to launch sometime in 2026.
Rebel Wolves is set to reveal more information about the game in the coming months.
