Day 1 of the Honor of Kings Championship group stage brought positive results to all Indonesian teams, as all three won their series.
Day one of the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 group stage is over, with all Indonesian teams getting a victory. Dominator Esports, Kagendra, and Mahadewa saw positive results from their series against their opponents, with the Indonesia Qualifier champion being the only one from those three that got a 2-0 scoreline against Blacklist International.
Dominator Esports' victory got them to the top of Group A as Mahadewa lost one game against FUT Esports from Turkey. Kagendra also goes on top of their group but can potentially drop to second, as NOVA Esports and Vitality haven't played their series yet.
Perhaps the most impressive win on day one was Dominator Esports' victory on their second game against Blacklist International as they beat the runner-up of the Philippines Qualifier in under 11 minutes, making it the fastest game so far in the tournament. Toshi got the MVP honour in both games with his performance on Arli and Lady Sun.
However, viewers would know that the unsung hero was the ruthless performance of Freddie on Han Xin as he massacred the position of all Blacklist International's players.
Besides Dominator Esports, Fearless Esports from Hong Kong was the other team with a perfect series against Impunity from Myanmar. Fearless Esports' position on top of the group, however, is still not determined yet as Black Shrew Esports haven't played their game against Revenant Esports, who acquired Team 123 from Singapore.
The Honor of Kings Championship group stage will continue until October 17th, 2024. All participants will compete for the $1,000,000 prize pool and the honour of becoming the first Global Honor of Kings Championship winner. All will be answered on October 27th, 2024, in the grand finals.
