BOOM Esports secured the last spot in the Honor of Kings Invitational Series 2024 Mid Season after defeating Rex Regum Qeon in the SEA Showdown stage for the tournament. The Filipino team shut down the King of Kings in a 3-0 rout. It's a show of macro-gameplay prowess by the team as they completely dismantled their opponent even though they are picking almost every meta-hero in the game.

In the first game, BOOM Esports looked to be getting outdrafted by their opponent when Rex Regum Qeon could secure Dolia, Allain, and Augran in the first pick phase. However,  with Lian Po and Arli, BOOM Esports have means of poke and engage secured. For the second phase, BOOM Esports further emphasizes its dive composition with Kaizer and Charlotte.

In the early stage, the game was in favor of RRQ, as expected, with how strong their lineup is. Augran and Allain control the field quickly to secure an early lead. However, one mistake in the top side was what it took for BOOM Esports to flip the game around and end the game in the eleventh minute.

In the second game, RRQ secured the Allain again in the first phase of the game. However, Jing is now the preferred jungler for the Indonesian team, securing the first foundation for a dive composition. BOOM, to counter their opponent, picked Fuzi in the farm lane with a Da Qiao as a roamer. Biron and Angela further made sure any dive attempt by the RRQ lineup was nullified with their area denial ability.

The result was as clear as day from the draft picks alone, as both Fuzi and Biron repeatedly thwarted RRQ's attempts to get a lead early. However, the Indonesian team got another chance when BOOM Esports allowed themselves to get picked off one by one. But despite that opportunity, RRQ's composition being reliant on an early snowball that didn't happen meant that BOOM eventually turned their lead into a win after 14 minutes of gameplay.

For the third game, RRQ returned with Allain and Augran in the first stage of draft pick and secured Garo for her late-game potential. BOOM also returned with Lady Zhen and Charlotte while picking Yuhuan as a jungler to get a counter-initiate lineup. However, RRQ picked Mozi as their roamer which drew concern over the lack of cover for Garo as she lacked mobility.

BOOM exploited this weakness of Garo with a Fang and Dolia pick with Lady Zhen just dishing out her crowd control against their opponent's lack of mobility. In the end, the score was 12-6 in the fifteenth minutes as Garo couldn't dish out enough damage to carry her team and lost her base to the Hungry Wolves players.

With BOOM Esports included, the Honor of Kings Invitational Series 2024 Mid Season lineup is completed. Twelve teams will compete in the tournament as it will started in August 1st, 2024. Here are the teams:
