Deathloop creator Arkane Lyon took to The Game Awards to announce its next game: Marvel’s Blade, a third-person action-adventure game that follows the titular Marvel Comics character. According to Arkane, a lot of love is being poured into the game to ensure fans of the Daywalker are happy with his upcoming game debut, which promises to feature vampire-killing in the city of Paris.

Marvel’s Blade gets revealed
The studio behind Dishonored 2 and Deathloop has officially announced that its next game will be based on a very familiar IP: Marvel Comics’ Blade. The Daywalker is a half-man, half-vampire who slays vampires whenever they make the mistake of creeping out in the night. Blade tends to pop up whenever Marvel touches on its more supernatural side - where vampires, ghosts, demons and other creatures of hell (see: Ghost Rider) reside.
It’s going to be interesting to see what Arkane does with the property, given how wide its scope can be. The stylish trailer is set in a barbershop in Paris, where Blade is getting a shave from a worried barber. Arkane Lyon is working on their home turf here as the game studio is located in France, so Paris is bound to see a faithful-ish recreation in the game. Blade typically finds himself in New York in the comics, so this is an interesting fish-out-of-water scenario for the hero.
Marvel is working on many more games besides Blade: Insomniac’s Wolverine game, Skydance’s World War 2-set Captain America and Black Panther game, and Electronic Arts’ Iron Man and Black Panther games are also in the works.
