The Dota 2 competition will heat up this week as teams vie for a spot via qualifiers at Riyadh Masters this July.
Team Falcons just swept through Gaimin Gladiators yesterday to take the title at DreamLeague Season 23. During the course of the event, the final teams to receive a direct invite to Riyadh Masters were locked in. BetBoom were the first of eight teams to secure their spot three months ago.
Twelve more teams will join them. Five will join as play-in seeds based on Interregional EPT points and seven from regional qualifiers. Those qualifiers will begin this week in each of the seven regions with the open qualifiers, before heading through to the closed qualifiers.

Riyadh Masters/ESWC 2024 Prize Pool
Esports World Cup 2024 will feature 19 different competitions, most of them with a million dollars on the line. Dota 2 has the largest prize pool to offer, 5 million dollars, followed by PUBG Mobile with 3.8 million and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with 3.5 million.
Although this is the largest prize pool of all 19 tournaments at Esports World Cup, the $5,000,000 is just a quarter of last year’s Riyadh Masters edition, which had $15,000,000 to offer.
Last year Team Spirit claimed the trophy and title with $5 million in their pockets.
