Team Secret reveals change in roster

Ahead of the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 WEU closed qualifiers, Team Secret revealed a change over in two players in the lineup. 

With the Dota Pro Circuit discontinued by Valve, the new competitive season after TI12 feels like it has been one long shuffle marked by two peaks so far —just before ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and now BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024. It has been a return to the Wild West days before the DPCs and lineups change before the ink is even dried on contracts.

Team Secret has revealed two player swaps in the latest slew of reported changes. 

Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng's return to Team Secret has been short-lived, ending in barely two months. Daniyal "yamich" Lazebnyy bids farewell after ten months. 

Teng "Kordan" Tjin Yao, who will assume mid-lane role, is a promising player from Singapore. He had been playing with Bleed Esports for almost two years. 

Marcel "Ekki" Hołowienko is making his professional competitive playing debut in the offlane. Before this, he had been a coach or assistant coach over the last two years —including a stint as AC with Team Secret for six months last year. 

Both players will be competing as part of the full roster in the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 WEU closed qualifiers in the upcoming week. The region is set to begin on January 11th and conclude on January 14th with only one team clinching a spot at the LAN next month. 

Team Secret took a disappointing 7-8th place finish at ESL One KL. No doubt are looking to reinstate their former status as a powerhouse team of WEU for this year and liven things up with some fresh blood and a new lease on competition.
