A new hero is announced to join the field in Dota 2 next year.
Ring Master was officially announced to be introduced in Dota 2 next year during the break between the lower bracket finals and the grand finals at The International 2023.
While Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators were warming up for the final battle of the Aegis in Seattle, Valve treated the viewers with a short teaser for what seems to be a new utility hero.
Ring Master’s departure from the circus to join the hero line-up in Dota 2 was actually teased early in the year, in the New Frontiers update which came on April 21. The circus ticket placed on the table next to the new Dota 2 map was probably spotted by many, but the clue was too small for the community to figure it out.
Some of the more diligent players data mined a couple of the game files after the summer update and discovered that a puppet master/ringmaster hero name popped up. In the same game files it was found that Rubick had stolen a Hex Poof spell which apparently would come from the Ring Master. No other details were found on either the hero, his attributes or his spells.
Valve hasn’t given any details on when in 2024 Ring Master will be added to the game. The latest hero added to Dota 2 is Muerta, who has officially joined all game modes in early March 2023 in the 7.32 patch.
