DreamLeague Season 20 will begin on the 11th of June and the tournament will see a lot of teams playing with standins. GosuGamers published the details of the tournament schedule and the standins, with the OG announcing a change to their roster just a day before the start of the event.

But the latest announcement will have a lot of fans excited, as two of the most popular players in professional Dota 2, both with a cult following, will be playing together on the same team for the first time in a professional setting. Amer “Miracle” Barkawi, who is under contract with Nigma Galaxy and on a break this year, will join forces with Artour “Arteezy” Babaev at Shopify Rebellion, replacing their mid Abed “Abed” Yusop who is having visa issues.

Now based on Shopify Rebellion’s tweet, it seems like the organization is in the process of resolving the issue, but till then, Miracle will be subbing in for Abed.

Miracle and Arteezy have long been two of the most popular figures in Dota 2 because of their flashy plays and great mechanical skill. However, it has been a while since Miracle has played the mid role. In the last few iterations of Nigma Galaxy, Miracle has been playing the safe lane carry. But even when he has played from the mid lane, more often than not, Miracle has been the position 1 hero. Arteezy is also a player who is known to be farm heavy in his playstyle, so it will be interesting to see how the two of them distribute the farm amongst themselves.

Shopify Rebellion’s first game of DreamLeague Season 20 will begin at 8:30 am EST (GMT-4:00), and what a game it is. The North American powerhouse will play the two time Major and defending DreamLeague champions, Gaimin Gladitors! If they can take down Gaimin Gladiators with Miracle’s aid, it will build a lot of interest to see how far this team can go with one of the best players of yesteryears.
