TNC Predator go 0-6 in week two of the Winter Tour

TNC Predator are already getting dangerously close to relegation after just two weeks of the Dota Pro Circuit Winter Tour.

Unfortunately, their losing streak from week one carried onto week two with another 0-2 defeat, this time around at the hand of Fnatic, who were also starving for a victory. Both TNC Predator and Fnatic entered week two with no victories, thus today’s direct confrontation between these two in SEA DPC Division 1 was bound to break the streak for one of them.

In both games played, TNC tried to make the best use of Dawnbreaker’s innate tankiness, lane harass potential and global presence by placing her into position four, paired with strong right clickers.  Lifestealer-Dawnbreaker should have been, in theory, a duo that could find pickoffs easily for TNC in game one, especially with an Ember Spirit on their side as well. However, with Dawnbreaker revealed in the first pick, Fnatic had the time to align a fairly beefy line-up and nullify TNC’s plan. Despite losing a few skirmishes through the laning stage, they had superior team fight initiation and control with Clockwerk, Mars and Wraith King.

TNC insisted on first picking Dawnbreaker in game two as well and added an Ogre Magi to their line-up, supposedly to act as a buffing machine for their offlane Legion Commander and mid lane Shadow Fiend. But, with all these three heroes revealed early in the draft, Fnatic went once again with outscaling options and crushed the opposition with a Magnus-Kunkka-Wrath King trio core.

This marked the first victory in the Winter Tour for Fnatic, who later this week will have another chance at making a full recovery. Their next series will be held against BOOM Esports on 11th of December, while TNC will have to wait until week three when they will be pitted against Execration for a shot at landing the first win of the season. So far, they are at the very bottom of the SEA Division 1 standings with a 0-6 game record.
