Just before the next slew of DPC and ESL One Katowice qualifiers there has been a separation of the pain X players from the organization and from 4dr.
The players that were formed under paiN X have both separated from the organization and parted ways with Adriano de Paula "4dr" Machado. In his stead, Kartik "Kitrak" Rathi will assume position 5 support role.
On September 15th paiN Gaming welcomed a new lineup to represent them in the new DPC 2018-2019 season. Quinn "CC&C" Callahan and his motley crew of North and South American players headed Brazil to play under the organization's banner as their second team, paiN X.
Since then pain X roster had taken 9-12th at the Kuala Lumpur Major, ahead of their sister roster and then narrowly missed qualifying for ESL One Birmingham 2018, taking second place to compLexity Gaming 2:3 in the grand finals.
Despite the roster separating from the organization and being 4/5 North American, they are still representing South America in the upcoming Chongqing Major South America Qualifier. If Valve will require them to change or if the team will continue to play in the region, it has not been made clear as of yet.
