With only two days left until the Fall Shuffle comes to an end, Team Liquid announced their new roster surprising everyone with two strong names.
Earlier this week, Team Liquid, the winners of Epicenter and second place finishers of two Majors, announced with regret the departure of the Earth Spirit himself: Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka. Along with JerAx, Adrian 'FATA' Trinks announced that he will be taking a break from competitive Dota 2, leaving their captain and long time friend Kuro 'Kuroky' Takhasomi with two holes to fill.
KuroKy's statement
With new plans for the future and with stronger competitors, Lasse 'MATUMBAMAN' Urpalainen, KuoKy, and Ivan 'MinD_ContRoL' Borislavov chose to remain with Kuro to pursue their goals and to achieve new heights. The trio are some of the best players in the world and longtime friends--a relationship that perhaps influenced their decision.
Joining the trio is 9000 Matchmaking Points himself, Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi. One of the best players in the world, the Jordanian will be joining them to add his share of MMR to the team, making an already formidable squad even more of a threat in the upcoming season. Recently, all eyes were on the young player when he decided to leave OG after two Major wins and a less-than-stellar performance at the recent International.
Miracle's statement
Besides Miracle, TL completed their roster with an old friend: Kanishka Sam 'BuLba' Sosale. He first joined Team Liquid after TI 2 and played with them for almost 2 years from December 2012 to August 2014, achieving top 8 at The International 2013 and top 10 a year later at the subsequent TI.
Here is Team Liquid's new roster:
Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi
Kanishka Sam 'BuLba' Sosale
Lasse 'MATUMBAMAN' Urpalainen
Ivan 'MinD_ContRoL' Borislavov
Kuro 'KuroKy' Salehi Takhasomi
