The offline finals of Synergy League, originally scheduled to begin on November 28th, have been postponed. The organization explained that it was impossible to hold the event in November, due to teams cancelling their participation and the rising cost of the venue that would house the finals.
News is rather unpleasant for the international competition Synergy League, as the organizers will be unable to host the tournament's LAN finals on schedule. The original date for the event was set for November 28th-30th, forcing many of the tournament's participants to choose between Synergy League and DreamLeague due to the playoffs of the latter taking place on the same week. However, it seems that the Synergy League finalists will have to wait until 2015 to fight for their spot in the top-three.
The official announcement was made on the tournament's official VK page, with the organization's representatives stating that the main reason for their decision was the inconsistency of of the participants, with teams pulling out of the tournament right after qualifying for the final stage. Since the conclusion of the online phase, Newbee, Team Malaysia, VP.Polar, afterShock, Moscow Five and HellRaisers refused to travel to Russia, forcing thems to find replacements. But it was HellRaisers that put the nail in Synergy League's coffin, as they decided to step out of the event, less than ten days before the finals.
Denial's manager Joe Eastham also published a text message he received by Synergy League's community manager Oleg 'dreamknoxville' Skobelev, who informed them about the postponement. Skobelev also said that rental value of Zorya Stadium, the LAN event's original venue, was higher than they expected thus forcing the organization to go over their budget.
No information is available about the new date of Synergy League's finals. What is certain is that it will take place in 2015, with a new list of participants (including those that did not cancel their participation in November).
