RoX.KIS has won the Fragbite Masters season 2 after defeating Monomaniac with a score of 3-1. RoX.KIS and Monomaniac will receive $17,000 and $7,800, respectively. Behind them in third and fourth place are Team Empire and Fnatic whom will go home with $3,000 each.
The second season of Dota 2 Fragbite Masters concluded today with RoX.KIS triumphing over Monomaniac. Both teams fought a grueling series that went to game four, with Monomaniac taking game one and RoX.KIS winning the next three. RoX.KIS pick diversity was overwhelming, using their experience and coordination to secure their victories. However, the Swedish/Danish squad showed admirable strength and character in the tournament, eliminating major European squads such as Fnatic and Power Rangers only two weeks after their official formation.
Monomaniac opened game one with a tanky front line in the form of Dragon Knight and Centaur Warrunner. RoX.KIS was unable to stop them and surrendered game one, but came back in game two with their own powerful frontliners Nightstalker, Abaddon, and Centaur Warrunner. After a fight near the Roshan pit gone wrong, MMC called GG. In Game 3, RoX.KIS selected a powerful lineup with Ember Spirit, Treant Protector, and Dark Seer. Monomaniac's Lycan and Lion offlaner were unable to stand up to the massive AOE damage and called GG relatively early. The final game saw MMC almost making a comeback with great plays all around, but after a great backstab team fight by Rox.kis, they lost their entire team and their base.
With their victory, the Russians claim the first prize of approximately $17,000, while Monomaniac will take home $7,800. In third and fourth place is Fnatic and Team Empire, whom will both receive $3,000.
