One of the most influential teams in the Oceanic eSports scene, Team Immunity, has just recruited a new Dota 2 roster. The squad is comprised of the three former N9 players r1sk, Godot and Shatan as well as two newer faces in competitive Dota 2.
Known for their long and successful squads in League of Legends and Starcraft II, Team Immunity is one of Australia's leading eSports organizations since their creation in 2003. This year, they decided to venture into professional DotA2, with the recruitment of a brand new squad that combines experience with fresh talent.
Three of the Team Immunity players are no strangers to the Dota 2 scene. We are talking about David 'r1sk' Arnous, Darcy 'Godot' Jose and Alex 'Shatan' Chang, the former members of N9/Absolute Legends that received a direct invite to the main event of The International 2. The team however did not manage to stand-out and ended up disbanding in February the following year.
The two other members of Team Immunity are newcomers in the Dota 2 scene. Trent 'sLiCKz' Tucker is a Heroes of Newerth veteran (having served as a member of formidable squads such as compLexity Gaming). The final member of Team Immunity is Daniel 'balls' Arnous, a relatively unknown name in the Oceanic competitive scene.
Statement of David 'r1sk' Arnous :
“We are extremely excited to partner with an organisation of Team Immunity’s stature. Their commitment to not only support us in our endeavors, but to also facilitate growth for the local DotA scene as a whole really stood out for us. For too long the Oceania region has gone without a team to cheer for on the global stage, and our aim is to change that.”
We have no information about their competitive debut, but the five players are expected to begin their adventure iin the following months. For more information, check out Team Immunity's facebook page.
