Free[gm] vs Tester[gm]

The first game was a nailbiting PvP on New Peaks. The clan mates Tester and Free were to kick off the day. Tester warped in at the bottom and started with a 2 gate build. Free at the top rather went a 1 gate gas build while putting down a mannerpylon in Tester's mineral line. Tester put on some early zealot pressure but Free compensated with a shield battery at his ramp. Both the players transitioned smoothly into goons and their natural expansions. Then the storm drops started. Probes were really suffering at this stage of the game under the psi-storms. Free seemed to get the best of these conflicts and had the larger army, but seemed a bit hesitant to move in. As the game went on, there were minor skirmishes all over the map, but never really an all in fight. Both players decided that Dark Archons would be a good idea. From here on the game developed into a stalemate with mind control being the main component. Storm and feedback was also used frequently. At the end it was a mindcontrol combat over a single observer before the officials declared it a draw and started a regame.

The same positions in the regame and both players retained their exact opening build except that this time Tester made sure to build his 2nd pylon to block Free's mannerpylon. From there on they both picked a goon/reaver build and after Tester wasted some of his lots at Free's ramp, Free marched straight to his doorstep. Tester was behind in units and lost his reaver, while Free did not. 1 - 0 for Hanbit Stars.

GGPlay vs maGma[S.G]

The second mirror match of the day and GGPlay was the heavy favorite here. He has a very strong ZvZ record and is the better known player either way. GGPlay spawned at 5 and opted for a 9 pool, gas build. MaGma spawned at 11 and opted for a 12 hatch rather. As maGma's 2nd hatch was about to finish, GGPlay's six zerglings reached his mineral line. Some excellent defense though and maGma didn't lose anything. At this point GGPlays only hope was his spire which was well underway. Just as the spire was about to complete, maGma storms in with his now superior ling force and takes down the spire. A few moments later it's over. GG. Hanbit Stars 1 - 1 E-Stro

Daezang Hazin[saM] vs Soha ArtOfZerg

The 2v2 game at the 2v2 map Full Moon. Both teams went fairly standard openings and it looked very even for a while. Although Hanbit gained the upperhand when they finally eliminated ArtOfZerg. Moments later Soha put Hazin out of play, but at this point Daezang had too many goons and simply marched into Soha's base. Quick and decisive. Hanbit Stars 2 - 1 E-Stro

SaSin)Boy vs UpMagic

Hanbit could win the war with this game and Boy spawned at 7 while UpMagic landed at 1. From the start it was clear that UpMagic has a build that he was prepared to risk everything on. He jumped his initial neutral buildings with 2 scvs and started building two barracks next to the other neutral buildings. Boy on his part had exped to the right, next to the crystalis eggs. He also started a 3rd hatchery by his front neutral buildings as UpMagic made his way towards him. As the terran spottet an overlord at 11, he knew where to find the zerg. Boy desperately tried to put down some sunkens when he realized what was happening, but it was too late. A well time and executed rush by UpMagic. GG and 2-2

The Ace game - Free[gm] vs UpMagic

For the ace game, you can pick anyone from your team that has not played twice (that is in a 1v1 and in the 2v2). However this is exactly what Hanbit did, the sent out Free. However, his 2nd game was only a regame so it was allowed. E-Stro sent out UpMagic again, hoping for the same result as in game 4. The map was Longinus and the terran landed at 7, with the protoss warping in at 3. Free went for a fairly normal build, with 1gate, gas, core, 2nd gate and range. UpMagic decided to go for 2 factories, which he put up rather quickly due to not building a lot of marines or blocking his choke. Free said thank you and marched straight into his base with some goons just as the first vulture and tank popped out. After some back and forth micro UpMagic managed to repel the toss, but at quite considerable losses, including one of his factories. From here on in, Free decided to play it safe, although he really should have ended it with such a great start. He started taking the map, and harassing with some reavers while building two stargates. Before any carriers could finish he decided to attack however and UpMagic was forced to tap out. Total dominance by Free. GG and Hanbit Stars wins this ProLeague match with 3 - 2.

Not the best of games to be honest. If I have to recommend a game to download as a VOD later, when they are out, I wouldn't know what to say. The first game that got restarted was interesting, but not very entertaining. The rest were fairly quick. Pick from what sounds interesting judging from the battle reports I guess.
