GSTL shut-down hinted

Just a few hours ago, Korean eSports journalist Ethan Ahn tweeted about the death of the GSTL. There's still no official information about the case but with SouL's disbandment yesterday this does seem like a very real possibility.

It's been rough last few months for eSF and GSTL. In early September, the Korean organization lost three of its founding teams - MVP, Prime and Incredible Miracle - which went on to join KeSPA later on. The only new member eSF got in SouL also shut doors just yesterday, leaving the pool of members down to just StarTale, fOu and Azubu as neither Axiom, nor Acer - two of the teams that took part in the last two seasons of the GSTL - are with the eSF.

With those events in mind, Ethan Ahn's laconic "RIP GSTL" tweet sounds like something that has high chances of happening. Although there's still official statement to come from eSF or GOM, running a four-team league that can compete KeSPA's full-roster Proleague does seem like a hopeless endeavour.

GosuGamers reached out to Ehan Ahn for further information.
