Apollo joins ESL in Germany to cast WCS Europe

Shaun 'Apollo' Clark joins ESL TV to headline WCS Europe and the Intel Extreme Masters as the Leading Commentator. As a result Shaun will relocate to Germany from his current home of the past 18 months - the GD Studio in Sweden.

23 year old Apollo is one of the most renown casters in the industry with a track record of the greatest events in the past couple of years. Being a member of The GD Studio for the last 18 months, he finally embarks on the next step in his journey - working with ESL in Germany to produce the greatest commentating experience alongside Kaelaris.

Paul 'ReDeYe' Chaloner, the Head of Commentary at ESL TV had this to say:

"[I'm] thrilled to have Shaun joining what is already a world class commentary team at ESL TV and I couldn’t be happier to have secured arguably the best StarCraft II commentator in the world. I’m really looking forward to Shaun and James working closely together and developing further an already excellent casting duo, particularly on WCS and IEM"

Apollo commented on the move as well, mentioning his stay with the GD Studio and looking forward to the future:

"I am excited and a little nervous at the same time as this is quite the move! I suppose i'm even a little sad due to leaving Sweden and the GD Studio which I have called home for the past 18 months. 2GD bringing me to Sweden gave me what I needed to make the improvements to my commentary, bringing me to the level i'm at today - I am very thankful for that."

"WCS is the main project I want to work on and I am happy to be making the move to Germany to be fully involved in not only the WCS but also the IEM stops. Having already worked alongside ESL TV for WCS Season 1, they are very hard working and are dedicated to improving themselves and giving the best show possible, which is an attitude I relate to and appreciate. Now, lets kick ass for WCS EU Season 2!"
