Grubby, HuK with GSL seeds, Flash vs JD on Jan 6

The two foreign protosses will be directly seeded into the Up/Down matches for the first 2013 season. The GSL competition resumes January 6th.

GSL is looking forward to return with a blast after the holidays. Scheduled to start the first week of January, the opening day of the Up/Down matches is to see a legendary rivalry translated onto GSL grounds. Sharing Group A are the two Brood War bonjwas Jaedong and Flash, who will inevitably meet midway through the playday. In their company is also former GSL champion MC as well as other aspiring players such as YoDa, Yonghwa and Vampire.

In foreigner-land, Grubby has drawn a short straw and is in a group with zerg powerhouses DongRaeGu and Symbol and with PvZ not among his fortes it will be a toll order for the Dutchman to jump up to Code S. HuK, on the other hand, is in a fairly equal group with NesTea, Center, Fantasy, Finale and Flying and although he hasn't been having the greatest of results recently, surviving Group E is not out of the question.
