Snute shreds Symbol, takes the sixth HomeStory Cup

18-2: This is Snute's final map score after ploughing through Symbol in the grand final with a 4-0. The Norwegian player walks home with a $10,000 Christmas present and the privilege to be the last HomeStory champion for 2012.

Snute made it to the playoffs by mostly winning ZvZs and ZvPs and he continued to do so in the final bracket. A 3-0 against Grubby and 3-2 against Stephano only made his run so far even more breathtaking, sending him to his first premier grand final in his career.

Opposing Snute was one of TSL's strongest in Symbol. Certainly no stranger to big tournaments, Symbol also came into the grand final on the back of a ZvZ streak, eliminating TLO in a dramatic five-set match and then Xlord in a much easier series. Having already played and lost to Snute in the group stage, Symbol was out for revenge.

Revenge, however, was not tasted by Snute this night. Most contrary even: the Norwegian outmicroed and shattered every play and dominated every step that Symbol attempted, making the Korean look sloppy in the mirror match. Ending it with a stylish nydus play, Snute accepted Symbol's last gg: a clean 4-0 for the HSC VI championship.
