After a couple of hipster RotWs we're back with play from the big boys thanks to the recently finished GD Invitational. We also get to see vikings killing marauders like in some weird TvT dream sequence.
1. Elfi vs Thorzain
Timings are everything in StarCraft and Elfi knows this very well. Craving early blood, the Fin throws a quick templar archives and...
Can anybody hear me? I am trapped in a dark, moldy basement, forced to write about cool storm plays week after week by my protoss-loving oppressors. Help me! I miss my mom, the sun and BitByBit all-ins!
...makes a game much worthy of Replays of the Week.
2. LZ vs Aria
Are you bored of all the "macro up till brood lords kill you and your entire family" TvZ paradigms? What if I told you that LZ and Aria play one of the most action-packed tugs of war this feature has seen without a single spire being built? A conflict where legions of units are ralied to their death, banelings blow up SCVs and marines shoot down ultralisk that want to violate them in a weird way. It's not a game that will enter the textbooks but it's an honest to God entertainment.
3. TLO vs Elfi
Having TLO as one of the players is usually a sound indication that a game is cool. Because when the charming German is not resting on GD's lap, he's busy doing Spine Crawler rushes, Hydra drops and having more Nydus worms than Elfi has Colossi.
The moral of the story: Don't try to cannon rush TLO. He'll get angry and kill you with buildings.
4. Thorzain vs Aria
When I have to watch a TvT, I usually go mental and want to behead a baby owl. Luckily for all strigidae and their offspring, this particular game was wicked sick, and not only because there was a 4-starport play, zero tanks and vikings used in the most bizarre way possible.
5. Socke vs Hazed
Socke, oh, devious Socke. And Hazed, oh, outplayed Hazed, someone whose death will be a lesson to all zergs that think killing free zealots can't have any repercussions.
Except dying to a warp prism which unloads protoss's entire production cycle into your main while your army is out on the map, fishing for red herrings.
HELP!!! I am still a hostage! Please, go to the Replay Section, find all the games with high templars and drop a comment saying they are stupid. Don't let them win!
