ENWL: Russia and Poland close to advancement

The group stages will finish after the final matches on January 14th, 2011, and so far Russia is the only nation with something close to a safe spot in the playoffs. Other than that we have Poland looking good with two matches played so far, winning both 5-0, and all the individual matches 2-0.


Group A
In group A, Denmark is looking good after three straight victories, though still waiting for the final individual match against Norway to decide whether they win 4-1 or 3-2.

Group B
Russia is currently topping group B with four straight wins, all convincing, except the final match against Spain, which ended 3-2. Spain still has one individual match from an earlier round against Moldova to decide their full score, but as for now, they're looking to advance along with Russia, unless they lose to Romania 5-0, or if Ukraine beats the Spaniards in the final match of the group.

Group C
It's hard to predict group C as they still have a few matches left to play, and currently Hungary is on the second place with three matches lost, one of them 5-0 to current group leaders, Poland.

Group D
Finland dropped out of the league in group D, which leaves us with five matches less for this group. Right now, France and Germany are holding the top two positions that will take them to the playoffs, but France has only one match left to play, which is against Germany in the next round. Croatia, along with France, is the only nation having more than one match played so far in group D.
