The German ESL Pro Series founds its champion on Sunday, December 5th 2010. Giacomo "Socke" Thüs stood up against the Italian Carlo "ClouD" Giannacco. Fighting his way through the winner bracket, the Protoss player came out winning 3,000 Euros.

Winner Bracket Round 1
DeMusliM 1:2 ClouD
GoOdy 0:2 Socke
Winner Bracket Final
ClouD 1:2 Socke
Loser Bracket Round 1
GoOdy 1:2 DeMusliM
Loser Bracket Final
ClouD 2:1 DeMusliM
Grand Final
Socke 2:0 ClouD
The German had not showed his best performance during the first half of the season but fought back hard in the second part, taking third place, being even in points with ClouD, Jonathan "DarK.FoRcE" Belke and Hun "inuh" Park. This weekend, though, Socke demonstrated what he is made off, winning all three matches, and taking home the prize money of 3,000 Euros.

Sascha "GoOdy" Lupp, the long-time prime during the season, was knocked out early at the finals in Cologne. Kicking off the finals with a straight loss against Socke, he was not able to fight his way through the loser bracket, losing to Benjamin James "DeMusliM" Baker in the aftermath.

The Italian Terran player won his first round against DeMusliM but could not deal with the power of Aiur in the winner bracket final, losing 1:2 to Socke. He then beat DeMusliM again but suffered another, much clearer loss versus Socke.

ClouD therefore earns 1,500 Euros on this weekend. DeMusliM may call another 700 Euros his own, while GoOdy will take home only 300 Euros.
