John the translator has been the connector between the non-Korean scene and GSL for a while now, and is now posting a thread explaining a few things that made some people believe they rig the maps.

The reason for this is according to John, people were tired of seeing the same maps over and over, and players should be prepared for any map as they potentially move on to the semi finals or the grand final where it's best of five or best of seven, and hard to get away from any specific map.

John explains that the maps were in no way rigged, but randomly picked, and he actually spent 20 minutes making a box to put the pieces of paper with the names of the maps on them.

One other thing people have asked the GOMTV staff is why they haven't used custom made maps, and the reason for that is for people without a team to be able to practice maps on the ladder, and frankly John don't think Blizzard would've approved it.
