European Poker Tour Grand Final Returns to Monaco

As it has in six of the last seven years, the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Casino will play host to this years EPT Grand Final April 23rd through May 1st. Last year the event location was switched to Madrid, but EPT President Edger Stuchly has brought the Grand Final back home to Monaco for what he describes as “the biggest and best EPT festival ever held…an incredible tournament”

The series will culminate with a €10,000 Main Event which was won last year by Ivan Freitez who outlasted 686 players in route to a €1,500,000 payday. Previous winners include Nicolas Chouity, Pieter de Korver, Glen Chorny, Gavin Griffin, Jeff Williams and Rob Hollink.

A new addition to this years Grand Final is the €100,000 buy-in Super High Roller event. A staple at the EPT’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, this year marks the first time a Super High Roller event will be played on European soil. Expect to see some of the games biggest names signing up for the prestigious event, including Viktor "Isildur1" Blom who won the most recent $100,000 Super High Roller in the Bahamas for $1.2 million.
