The WCG preliminary in Uzbekistan have been played. Four players to the national final, and after a hot day of gaming, overdrive[a2] is once again Uzbeikstan's representant to the World Cyber Games.
TASHKENT, UZBEKISTAN. It was hot. Perhaps having World Cyber Games preliminaries was not the best way of spending the day, but as the weather is usually hot in Uzbekistan, the players surely did not suffer much from it.
Four players attended the national finals, after several qualifiers around the nation. The four players who made it were the Zerg player rafik, the race picker rainver, ChingizKhan, a rising talent in Uzbekistan who always plays the Zerg race. The WCG 2005 winner Overdrive[a2], the Terran player who went 3-4 in his group last year was also there, defending his title.
As the first round emerged, ChingizKhan defeated Overdrive with 2-0 in a nice Zerg versus Terran match, where ChingizKhan used defilers quite early in the game with lead him to victory. Though overdrive came back, defeating both rainver and rafik in the Loser Bracket. And then in the Grand Final overdrive proved his skill and experience by defeating the new Zerg player ChingizKhan with 4-0!
